The Unthinking Caterpillar

The Unthinking Caterpillar

No no no no no!
My car is NOT a good place to make your chrysalis!

I can't go anywhere until it's transformed. Then I might use some tweezers and move it somewhere safer. Still thinking about what to attach it with... glue?

I've had to transfer most of our population of caterpillars to the school swan plants because they've run out of leaves on ours.

  1. Oh dear! I have heard of others glueing them some place else, but not sure what sort of glue they used. Good luck!

  4. When they fall off at kindy they use a plastic clothes peg to hang them off the plant. How funny it chose your car!

  7. How inconsiderate?!?!? Yes, we have moved them, have used a spring clothes peg to hang it, as long as it can hang so that it can get out it'll be fine.

  9. So, what did you end up doing? I hope you were able to transfer him to a plant.

What was he expecting to eat when he turned into a butterfly?

Now that is wild, Penny! I have never heard of anyone doing that! One learns something new everyday! I think it's a great idea!

Poor caterpillar! The photo is beautiful though. It took me awhile to even realize that it was on a wheel.
