Rejected

Ah well,
Didn't get that one. All candidates of high calibre etc etc blah blah, but the successful person had something extra. Whatever.

I suspect it's something extra-curricular because the current librarian does the costumes for the school productions. Or it could be because I hadn't managed "teacher resource room" before. Like that is going be any different to managing a special collection - which I've done (x-rays, anatomical models dadedah). Anyway, I wasn't the face that fitted.

I'm a bit disappointed, nobody likes rejection! But at the same time a bit relieved. I came away from the interview feeling sort of *meh*... unexcited and just kind of okay about it. They didn't even show me the library which was odd.

Hopefully this means there will be something better for me in my future.

    Sorry, Penny :-(
But I definitely think you're right about having something better in your future! One door closing leaves room for another one to open.

  3. I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason. Still, I understand your disappointment and have been in your shoes. My prediction is that the perfect career path will present itself before you know it - and then you'll be thankful this one turned out as it did.

Boo! But, as you say, if you were feeling a bit meh about the whole thing, maybe it's not so bad.

Are you over the chicken pox?

  6. Darn - but like everyone else said there must be a better job out there somewhere with your name on it. And besides ... teacher resource rooms can be hazardous to your health!

sorry to hear about this Penny. I know you are over it now but its interesting how when someone says no we dig deep and we wonder whats wrong with us? When in fact it's not often the case.I always think there is something better around the corner. Given you had the meh feeling means you knew it wasn't for you.
