Tried to do a bit of a photo session yesterday with the kiddos but it was mostly a waste of time. Small Boy was so busy being "helpful" taking pictures with his "camera" that it was annoying, and Small Girl would not smile. Most of the shots aren't sharp because the target or my hands were moving.
However, Small Girl is now 6 months so I thought I'd better record it. She is sitting up well and is working on her top 2 teeth. Won't be long and she'll be crawling judging by her tummy time behaviour these days.
I must get out to some better venue than my lounge and my dodgy black back drop....
They are still really cute photos! Don't give up, it gets easier as they get older. I now have no trouble getting a lovely pic of both my boys smiling and looking at the camera AT THE SAME TIME. It did take years of practice (on their part) mind you! ;-)
ReplyDeleteYour children are really beautiful Penny, whether they are smiling or not! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree they are so cute, and hey one bad photo shoot doesn't mean the rest will be like that. To be honest I think those photos are great because it shows them being them.
ReplyDeleteThose pics may not be what you were wanting but they are just delightful, love that one of surprised ds and the 6mth shot makes me want a cuddle.
ReplyDeleteI think the photos turned out great, I mean how could they not with such cute subjects! I love the second to last picture of your son, soooo cute.
ReplyDeleteI reckon those are such cute photos! Your kids are supercute! Plus hey your post makes for some cool journaling for a page 0.o
ReplyDeletecute. hope you kept the *duds* as well. I like photos when the kids are NOT looking because it shows them as they are. not picture-perfect :)
ReplyDeleteLovely - and it looks like we have a starter for a yoga class in a few years (well, she can already hold a what looks like a yoga pose!). Very cute
ReplyDeleteoh penny, they are such cuties! i can't believe small girl is already 6 months!
ReplyDeleteThey are both so cute! How did she get so big so quick!! I should show you some of my attempts at photoshoots - many distasters there (the photos still make me alugh - I love outtakes)!! Kids are "fun" to photograph. Polarfleece makes a good and cheap backdrop - doesn't crease much either. Try small girl with a prop. I had a pink fluffy boa thing when I took some photos of my niece at the beginning of the year and it helped keep her in one place for minutes rather than seconds :)
