Houston - we have forward movement

DD started crawling forward this week - she's been going backwards for a few weeks but she has finally worked out forward gear.

I've realised how quickly I forget what little babies do... i.e. put everything in their mouths. So far I've rescued play dough, newspaper, bits of Mobilo, and a piece of chipboard from her predations. Having DS spreading his toys from one end of the house to the other is not helping and he cannot seem to be tidy no matter what I do. So I have to be vigilante.

  1. grrr, we have had a visit from the house fairy, now I have to be consistent at reminding them to tidy as they go! I remember the just crawling & things in mouth stage!

  2. This cannot be - how can she be that big already! We have to have huge clean ups when my niece comes over - and she still find stuff :)

How old is she?? Time for baby proofing then? LOL ;-) I forget what's it's like to have to worry about that ... until my friends or family with crawling babies come over! LOL!
It's so much harder when it's kid #2 starting to crawl, because kid #1 has lots of LITTLE TOYS that you have to keep out the way. I remember it was a pain in the butt!

  5. Woooohooooo. How exciting. As you know we've just been through all that, so I feel for you as you find your way again with what is and isn't safe and moving things a little higher too.

    Great to see you yesterday.

  10. That's so exciting but I feel your frustration. I'm convinced we're going to mortally endanger our rugrat due to how unbabysafe our place is. As it is the cat eats things off the floor - usually non-food items then promptly throws them up again. Ewwww!
