Yeah yeah, I know you Southerners have to "lick motorway clean wit' tongue" and all but the frosty mornings have provided us with a bit of entertainment. DS claimed he was going to "tell it for news" when he saw the ice in his sandpit.
There was a story in the Herald at the end of last week that confirmed that Auckland (-3 degrees)and Hamilton (-4 degrees) had recorded the lowest temps for the year last week, lower than the South Island.
We had -4 degrees three nights in a row. Heaps warmer now because it is raining.
I saw on the news last night how mild Auckland was feeling the cold. I think this winter is going to be an interesting one.
