Saturday morning randomness

I voted - did you?

These cuties were being offered free to a good home so I collared them. I know they're a bit kitsch but I like 'em.

This is what happens to Indian food when 4 librarians get together! I met up with CW and Kathryn who were over for the LIANZA conference. So neat to meet people I've chatted to online. My colleague Fran joined us. (My face matches the pink wall! And I only had a mango lassi so I can't blame any alcohol. :-P) My long suffering DH came too and put up with us talking shop.

  1. Yep we have voted. Went down at 9.30am and there was a queue! Oh, and then the scrum between the two older boys in the carpark for our stickers, lol.

Penny, no way are they kitsch! Love them! Actually, they would go VERY nicely with my leaf bowls of the same era, that I scored out of Mum's china cabinet a few years back. You know the type I mean?

  2. Voted at 9.15, before work
Was the BESTIST time to go because it gave the really early people time to have just gone and we had no troubles. Liam got TWO stickers!

Quite a lot of people have come in and asked where they can vote... Better find out eh?

  3. I love those salt and pepper cellars. At Te Papa there is/was someone's personal collection of many, many different types of salt and pepper cellars - I think I could easily collect something like that!

    I voted too

Yep, we voted. Was about 9.30am and very quiet. The boys got stickers too - the old man who gave me my form commended us for bringing our kids with us. Hmm, kind of didn't have a choice, but hey!!

Love the S+P shakers, very cute!

    I didn't vote, but then I am not a Kiwi :)

It was wonderful to finally meet you after all this time, Penny! My only complaint is that we met when Kathryn and I were both tired after all our walking through the Auckland Botanic Gardens and bits of Totara Park and we didn't manage to have a really good long chat with each other. Still, it was lovely to see Missy Moo, DS, and DH, and good to meet FS too (please give her my regards!).

I'm glad we have the Net so that we can continue to "chat" and keep up with each other :) If you and FS do manage to wangle a trip over to Perth that would be just superb!!
