You show me yours?
The books on the middle shelf and those stacked horizontal on the lower shelf are the ones that I use the most. The top shelf has books I don't want to throw out but use only occasionally. I love reading cookbooks and could easily spend heaps of money on them but I try and only buy those I know I'll use and fill a gap in my shelves ... figuratively speaking that it. Collection building you know.
I used to subscribe to Cuisine magazine and Dish. I liked Dish better, but the lack of an index for the magazine is a drawback. I stopped my subs because of space issues.
lol at your collection....I have mine in two places due to space issues lol. But last year I did give away the ones I rarelt used, so I have a much smaller collection now .

ReplyDeleteGlad to know I'm not the only one with a cookbook addiction! LOL I have so many that it isn't easy or fun to browse recipes anymore. I've actually been slowly going through the ones I don't use much, copying out recipes I like or would like to try and then giving them away. Of course, I'll always keep my favorites!

We weeded ours last year (sacrilege I know)but DW collects older ones, and we needed room to get more...

I should have thought of you when I was sorting my cookbooks before we left Akl - I would have given them to you instead of putting them into storage! hehee :-)
In planning my new house one of my first plans was to work out how many lineal metres of shelving I would need to house my substantial cook book collection AND plan for growth. I also have many many magazines to find places for. Agree about Dish having no index. I use cuisine online index weekly. Books and food.....mmmm.
