So we go to the reserve to fly the kite.
Except it turns out that Mummy is not much good at kite flying.
No matter what she does, it never gets higher than a few metres.
So we come home again.
With promises that Daddy -
who might be a better kite flyer - will take Small Boy out later.
Haha, sounds like something I would do! (take kids out to fly a kite, and then suck at it) ... I do hope Daddy is more skilled so that he gets to enjoy it to the fullest! ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt IS perfect kite-flying weather though!
Good on you for making the effort and going down there though, and you remembered to take the camera which is even better! Hope he wasn't too disappointed.
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful day you had and so mummy wasn't so good at least you got to have an outing out and who knows maybe daddy might not be so good at it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I could get a kite up either! We have one in the closet waiting for a perfect day. I'm going to get it out soon.
ReplyDeleteSOunds like me - thank goodness Dad does the kite flying here
ReplyDeleteLOl that could have been me! A few years ago Rainer and I made a few kites, according to him my speciality was nose diving and crash landing kites;p Eventually I got the hang of it. So dont give up, hopefully your man can show you some tricks and then it's actually rather fun!
ReplyDeleteHope your little one was not too disappointed!
Looks like fun though....Knowing David i would get it up and he would pull it down or be more intested in the string.
ReplyDeleteYes this Mummy is no good at kite flying either. Why is it a Daddy thing?
